Work Parties are planned for March 24th & April 7th 2024.  All members are requested to attend if possible.  Peg platforms need repair, vegetation cutback amongst various other tasks.  No tools required except a little elbow grease.  Muster at the lake at 9am and please give what time you can.

WORK PARTY 1 - Mar 24th was attended by the usual suspects and two new faces.  Many thanks to Alan and John who attended their first WP and who worked really hard to clear a mass of dead wood from Pegs 1 to 7. 

We managed to complete a number of platform repairs, the causeway bridge (thank you Charlie) and there was much buzzing from Des and his chainsaw.  We were able to survey the next phase of repairs and improvements and we have a much clearer idea of our progress.

For the next WP on 7th April we welcome any help from all members.  A couple of hours tidying and clearing or helping with platform repairs would be greatly appreciated.

The Club is planning to engage an outside contractor to remove weed growth and reshape some of the lily beds.  Dates are yet to be fixed and will depend on weed growth rates and weather.  The water will be closed on such dates and will be indicated here and on the club notice boards onsite.

Members are reminded that Club has nominated bailiffs that visit the lake regularly. They may ask for your membership licence and Rod Licence, plus any guest tickets if applicable.

Please have these documents with you when you are fishing, otherwise you may be asked to leave. Please co-operate as the bailiffs volunteer to help protect your fishing.
